We are seeking a part time person to join our Activities/Life Enrichment team 30 hours per week. This position works in our Leas center engaging with residents in Assisted Living- hours are day shift hours, with occasional Saturday/holiday coverage.

Examples of programs/activities are arts and crafts, bingo, reminisce programs, one-on-one visits, and going on outings with residents outside of the community. Planning, prepping, leading and documenting resident participation in programs. Assisting with larger community events such as holiday parties.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Encouraging resident participation in activities; leading small and large group activities; documentation of activities and participation.

Preparing for activities/programs/events

Qualifications and Skills:

Ideal candidate will have college coursework in recreational therapy and/or gerontology

Experience in a similar role desirable

Candidate must be very social, with a fun, outgoing personality and have a love and respect for the senior population.

Ability to work self-directed

This is a great position for a college student interested in gerontology, recreational therapy or careers in health care administration. We also welcome retirees who are not ready to be retired just yet!
